This title contains works produced over a decade of Flor Garduño’s work, which capture her personal experience as a mother-artist. The recurring themes in these photographs are nudes and still life –here referred to by the author as “silent nature”– through which she achieves harmony with the Mexican visual tradition represented by artists such as Frida Kahlo, José Clemente Orozco, Manuel Álvarez Bravo and Luis Barragán. At the same time, these photographs show a contemporary artistic concept in which a relationship is established between pre-hispanic, popular art and culture.
