Product information

This is the sixth volume of the collection of studies and facsimile reproductions of colonial indigenous pictographs that were made in the territory that is currently occupied by the State of Mexico. This volume presents two plates, on European paper, from the Codex of Santiago Tlacotepec, from the town of the same name, in the municipality of Toluca. The plates, copies of two older ones, were painted in the mid-16th century and were originally part of a file of documents written in Spanish. The objective of this publication, as well as of the collection, is to build a more solid history of indigenous peoples in the State of Mexico.
