Product information

This title brings together the original and critical works of 18 archaeologists, historians and anthropologists who present a panorama of the past and present of a region located in the Sierra Madre Occidental of the states of Durango and Chihuahua. It is also the result of the Symposium “Settlements and population movements in the Tepehuana mountains from prehistory to the present day”, in April 2000 and organized by the National Indigenous Institute, the College of Michoacán and the UNAM. Here the authors offer more context  than a global historical overview, although the majority of works deal with the colonial era.
