As part of the celebrations for the centenary of the Macedonio Alcalá Theater, this title presents its history in an illustrated form. Throughout these pages, the history of the theater in Mexico and Oaxaca is narrated, going through the vicissitudes of its construction, its inauguration, the initial shows, the effects of the Revolution on public shows and its transformation, as well as an analysis of the period from 2004 to 2008, which includes its latest restoration. This project has sources from archives, libraries and newspaper libraries from Mexico and abroad, with the objective of preserving and showing through images the memory of one of the most relevant architectural jewels of Oaxaca.
