Product information
The Tupa is a supernatural being from Mixtec mythology that lives in caves on sacred hills. He is powerful and shares his power with some humans. In this title, the author collects a true story, close to home and learned from childhood, gathering testimonies to reconstruct the legend of the Tupa. Here, the story of a Mixtec man from San Juan Yolotepec is told, and how his life was transformed by his relationship with the power of the Tupa. In addition, pre-Hispanic background information is provided on the myth behind the Tupa and its multiple manifestations in the region.
