The project “Mexican cities of the XX century, historical problems of urbanization 1890-1970”, financed by CONAHCyT, has had as its initial interest the study of several Mexican cities, including Oaxaca, which is the one presented here. The fundamental purpose of this work is to let the history of Oaxaca speak for itself through the urban structure of the city, its architecture, and those who forged it throughout the XIX century. This title provides a historical tour of the city, as well as an analysis of the changes, modifications and modernizations it has undergone, accompanied by photographs and an attached brochure with maps and building plans.
