The aesthetic models that the Jesuits promoted were radiated from Rome and Antwerp, but became natural to the landscape of Lima and Bahia; they managed to incorporate the expressions and knowledge of the Philippines and New Spain. This publication seeks to help in the understanding of the philosophy and spirituality that animated the pastoral work of the Jesuits and to be an example of the achievements attained in the vast cultural universe of the arts sponsored by the Society of Jesus in Mexico.
