This title is part of the tribute that the General Directorate of Popular and Indigenous Cultures pays to Alberto Beltrán, a graphic artist who portrayed the country in which he lived and which was his great love. From his youth, Beltrán saw himself linked to the struggles of workers, peasants, the landless, indigenous people, illiteracy and anti-imperialism, which allowed him to capture with a critical eye and objectivity the reality of the country in which he lived. Here is an approach to the life and work of a master of Mexican graphics and defender of popular and indigenous cultures, giving only a small sample of his work for which he has been considered the most prolific illustrator in Mexico.
