Product information

Zapatismo appears in the early 2000s as the most radical political initiative in the world; however, despite their immense visibility, the Zapatistas continue to represent a mystery and paradox. This essay examines the nature and perspectives of Zapatismo, as well as what happened between 2003 and 2006: the continuous decomposition of the political classes, the consolidation of the social and political fabric created by the Zapatistas in Chiapas and the new form of insurrection – announced in the Sixth Declaration of the Lacandon Jungle. The author tries here to contribute to the reflection and initiatives with an account of the proposals, achievements and dreams of Zapatismo.
