Carmen Boullosa is a prolific writer who has published her work in poetry since the 70s, as well as written 18 novels and has been awarded scholarships such as FONCA, DAAD, Guggenheim and Cullman Center. In this series of poems the author demonstrates her mastery of writing, playing from the first page with the rhymes, rhythm and musicality of the words, as well as with the shape and length of the verses. The topics she touches on are as everyday as tree branches, streets and coughs, but focusing on the deepest details, thus finding the other side of things.
