Product information

The P’urhépecha poverty discussed throughout these pages has a special connotation, since it tells of first-hand encounters with women from the P’urhépecha plateau, conversations – sometimes sad, sometimes happy – in which women talk about their life experiences. The author, who collects testimonies, presents them and comments on them, leaves very marked observations about the stages of women’s lives, their marginalization, abandonment, vulnerable and risky situations. In addition, topics are covered from the perspective and context of the P’urhépecha woman: family, community, education, family economy, culture, health and the Church.
