Lithography in Mexico reached its peak in 1850, and from the beginning it was a technique that conveyed liberal ideas, contributing to the dissemination of nationalist political thought; all lithographic production from that period is a chronicle of the life of Mexico and of the Mexicans in the formation of the nation as a sovereign republic. This title contains a series of colour reproductions of lithographs, accompanied by their respective descriptions. Through these images, one can see the daily life of Mexicans, as well as what the city was like, how its inhabitants lived, how they understood it, faced it and constituted it.
