This study sheds light on the narrative of the Peruvian writer José María Arguedas, where the borders blur between Quechua culture and Western Hispanic culture, between the cultured and the popular, between orality and writing. Carlos Huamán manages to capture here a rereading of Arguedas's entire work, emphasizing the Quechua-Andean worldview, based on the fictional traces of the world represented in literature.
