José María Jaurrieta led a comfortable life as a student until 1916, until he decided to join the Villista army, when it was in its last days since some of its great tragedies occurred during the years 1916-1920. Jaurrieta became one of Francisco Villa's most trusted people, even serving as his secretary. At the same time that he carried out his duties as a soldier for the so-called División del Norte, he recorded various anecdotes in writing, from his incorporation into the ranks, his interactions with the general, raids and taking of the plazas of Durango, Torreón and Coahuila, as well as like failures and defeats. These writings saw the light of day for the first time in 1930 and are presented again in this issue.
