Product information

Juana Adcock is a poet, translator and editor, whose work has been published and awarded in the United Kingdom with the Poetry Book Society Choice, included in The Guardian newspaper's list of best poetry of 2019, and also named one of the Ten New Voices from Europe. In these poems the author seeks to weave together the community, the affection for language to build a vocabulary through wanting and wanting to be something. The poems start from a woman and a snake who meet and talk about desire, and in the midst of these conversations an attachment relationship develops like that of two lovers who exchange language and presence.
