The Zapotec Culture Week is a space created by the Universidad del Istmo within the framework of cultural dissemination, with the purpose of linking scientists from various disciplines and creators of Zapotec art to present their recent works. During the Third Zapotec Culture Week, invited scientists presented about the close relationship that exists between the environment and human beings in the Zapotec cultural configuration. These presentations and analyses were made from various approaches and perspectives, from linguistics, biology, sociocultural development and archaeology. Along with these investigations, a series of poems translated from Zapotec to Spanish are included.
