Product information

In 2015, chikungunya fever affected the population of Yucatan in an uncontrolled manner since there was little information about this disease, as well as lack of knowledge of its terminology. Although it was initially believed that the disease was transmitted by mosquitoes, from entomological science it is known that it is the viruses that they carry and not the insect itself. In this research, it is proposed that chikungunya fever could have had other variants that increased contagion among the population, pointing to biological or environmental issues. He also maintains that if the structural conditions of life and well-being of the people had been improved, not only would this contagion have been avoided, but another such spread could also be prevented in the future.
