Under the name Mayan Language and Culture, a symposium was organized in Antigua, Guatemala, which took place within the framework of the IV International Congress of Mayanists, from which the works presented in this title are compiled. These contributions fulfill, in one way or another, the initial purpose of the symposium: to accommodate a series of works that were the result of research carried out from different disciplines, approaches and trends in the field of Mayan culture. These investigations are inserted in diverse fields such as epigraphy, archaeology, social anthropology and even literature with the analysis of certain selected texts.
