The Diálogos Pueblos Originarios de Oaxaca Collection is an editorial proposal that aims to publish texts that account for the different expressions of art and culture coming from native people and communities of the state of Oaxaca. This volume is mainly dedicated to four maps and genealogies of the Oaxacan Isthmus, for which a different methodology corresponds in each case, emphasizing that derived from classical philology. The author describes this work as ambitious because at the time of its creation, in the midst of neoliberalism, he had few economic and human resources to form research teams, which represents an effort worth recognizing.
