Museo de la escarcha is a collection of poems written by Susan Elmslie and selected by Francoise Roy that are presented here in a bilingual English-Spanish edition. In some of these poems the author is inspired by verses from other writers – either in the theme or in the sensation that she transmits – to begin her own writings. Leaving aside the structure of the poems – which oscillate between having a classic structure, being just one stanza, and taking up the entire page – what moves them are the feelings that the author impregnates them, offering the reader a deep look into her fears, her sadness and her experience with motherhood.
