Maira Colín was born in Mexico City and has ventured into the genres of poetry, playwriting, essays, screenplays, short stories and novels under various titles, winning national and international awards. Her poems are found in anthologies from Spain, Mexico, Colombia and the United States; She was a FONCA scholarship recipient and is currently part of the National System of Art Creators.
