The five notebooks dictated by General Francisco Villa to Colonel Manuel Bauche Alcalde, his assistant, are compiled and published here for the first time in their entirety and in facsimile; they narrate memories of his life spanning from 1894 to November 1913. To complement this work, a transcription of documents, a prologue by Juan Ramón de la Fuente, little-known or unpublished photographs of the character and the era, as well as introductory texts by Guadalupe and Helia Villa Guerrero, scholars and granddaughters of the general, are added.
