This is a manual that introduces the reader to one of the cultural manifestations of Chilpancingo: vernacular music, which, along with its crafts, has given it a sign of identification and, at the same time, a special distinction. The purpose of this title is to contribute to preserving the cultural identity of the state, as well as to give a general vision of traditional music from Guerrero, taking as a starting point some texts that propose different theories about the origin, influences and evolution that this art has experienced. To this end, a songbook and a CD containing traditional music from Guerrero are presented.
