Benedict Warren dedicated more than forty years of his life to the study of the history and language of the Mesoamerican Tarascan people. That is why in December 1994 a colloquium called “Colloquium on Purépecha Language and Ethnohistory. Tribute to Benedict Warren” was held in his honor. This book brings together works by several authors who were presented at this colloquium: studies, rescue of works, editions and reissues of texts about and belonging to ancient Michoacán, with special emphasis on the 16th century.
