Zel Cabrera is a writer and journalist who has been a scholarship recipient of programs to promote literature, winner of the 2018 Tijuana National Poetry Prize and recipient of honorable mention in the 2022 National Black Novel Prize “A Turn of the Screw.” These poems are impregnated with the loss and grief that the author experiences after the death of a loved one, whom she constantly remembers and to whom she refuses to say goodbye definitively. The poems have very different lengths from each other, some being long and others just a few verses, which although short, are loaded with meaning and invite introspection.
