Product information
Teatro de México was founded in 1963 with the purpose of proving that Mexican theater had been born since 1527, that during the XVI century it was the most important in the world and that at that time a multitude of performances were given, which were at risk of disappearing. That is why Miguel Sabido designed a fundamental cultural policy instrument for the preservation of the pastorelas, a system that will allow the pastorelas to be presented every year in the Magical Towns and thus become a powerful engine of cultural tourism. Here 7 pastorelas by Miguel Sabido are gathered, as well as texts that explain his interest in preserving the first Mexican theater: that of the pastorelas.
