The author's purpose with this title is to make more known about the indigenous Oaxacan cultural roots, inviting the analysis and appreciation of cultures that, he considers, are on the verge of extinction. This research aims to rescue social and cultural values, a legacy from ancestors, so that they are captured in books and, if possible, instill in children a way to preserve them. Here a geographical synthesis is made, a historical synthesis, a socio-cultural synthesis, ethnic characteristics are offered, economic resources and education are delved into, accompanied by photographs and maps.
