In November 23, 1898 the section titled “Letters from Women”, under the pseudonym Prevostito, was published in El Mundo: edición diaria, a newspaper of the Rafael Reyes Spíndola company. It was only after the death of the writer Amado Nervo, that Rafael López revealed that the nickname “Prevostito” belonged to the recently deceased Mexican poet. It is throughout these letters that the author demonstrates his understanding of women, their contexts, emotions, problems and daily experiences; reaching a wide audience thanks to the use of well-constructed characters that represented the female readers of the time.
