In this research Luis Martín Garza includes a broad overview of the origin of the regional music of the state of Nuevo León, which is soaked in an undeniable foreign influence. On the one hand, the Spanish brought their repertoire made up of a mixture of Roman, Carthaginian, Visigoth and Moorish compositions; Just as Italian, German, Flamenco and French music came to Mexico to stay and create new melodies, also inspired by African rhythms.
