The struggle for the social vindication of indigenous peoples has been a constant in the development of their historical process, which, being immersed in the cultivation of the arts and different social, economic and political circumstances, has sown over time an indigenous literary movement in Chiapas. With the objective of getting to know indigenous writers, painters, sculptors, luthiers, artisans and potters better, the State Center for Indigenous Languages, Arts and Literature developed this project called Ijtkutya'b: Ways of Life. This volume presents twenty-eight profiles of authors that can be taken as a summary of a vision of current indigenous literature.
